The Harrogate Christmas Fayre

Experience the joy of Christmas in the heart of Yorkshire this December. Harrogate town centre will be hosting a new festive market between 3 and 12 December featuring an eclectic mix of local traders and traditional European Christmas stalls.
Among the many stalls and entertainments will be arts and crafts from artisan creators, mouth-watering treats for customers to sample or purchase, festive decorations for your home and a range of unique gift ideas for you to choose from or just treat yourself amid the busy Christmas preparations.
In addition to the chance for a truly Harrogate Christmas shopping experience there will be children’s entertainments to captivate young ones and Christmas music to set the perfect Christmas mood.
The market takes place in the heart of Harrogate’s shopping streets so you can combine your visit with Harrogate’s rich mix of high street names and boutique stores. The Harrogate Christmas lights will be on and the festive season well underway making this the perfect excuse to come and spend time us this Christmas.
Opening Times Mon - Weds - 10am - 7pm, Thurs - Sat - 10am - 9pm and Sundays 10am - 5pm.
A free road train will take visitors around Harrogate from Friday, just in time for the two town centre Christmas markets.
The Candy Cane Express will stop at James Street, St Mary’s Walk and Crescent Road. It will also pass Montpellier Hill, Cheltenham Parade, Station Parade and Victoria Avenue.
Face masks are advised on the road train, which will operate from December 3 to 12. Face masks are also advised around both markets.
The train route will take in the sights of the Christmas lights, Christmas shop window displays, Christmas rides and Santa’s postbox.

The perfect complement to the Christmas Fayre is the Little Bird Made Harrogate Christmas Artisan Market at Valley Gardens. Over 60 local traders, crafters and producers will provide a wide choice of wonderful festive arts and crafts, clothing, homeware and jewellery as well as mouth-wateringly delicious, locally produced food and drink, Mmmm
Knaresborough Christmas Market Knaresborough Market Place, HG5 8AL Saturday 4th – Sunday 5th December 2021 10am – 5pm Saturday 10am – Firework finale at 4:30pm Sunday
It’s beginning to look a lot like time to get to the Knaresborough Christmas Market, where you’ll find lots of wonderful market stalls packed full of Christmas goodies, in the historic and picturesque market town of Knaresborough. With brass band music, mulled wine and traders in traditional costume, this weekend is a treat for the senses.
To really get in the festive spirit, try a tasty treat of turkey sandwiches and mince pies, washed down with a delicious, mulled wine. It’s a perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit, with street entertainers and carol singing, what a wonderful way for the whole family to enjoy the most magical time of the year! Free access to the park and ride is also available.
