,Harrogate Lifestyle Apartments have remained open in-line with government guidelines throughout the Coronavirus Pandemic, accommodating families who were unable to fly home and some key workers wishing to isolate away from their families.   The business has struggled immensely to try and get through these last few months, with skeleton staff, payment holidays from some of our more supportive providers and most importantly to us, the understanding of our loyal guests. Thank you to everyone who has made exceptions and allowances for us to still be here today. But we're not through the woods yet...  We are desperate to hear the announcement that it is safe for the public to travel and stay overnight at accommodation providers for leisure purposes! We want nothing more than to open our doors to many of your friends and family who we hope are eager to book a stay in Harrogate for a holiday or to catch up with family and friends who live nearby.   The Harrogate Lifestyle Apartments team are doing everything possible to provide our Guests with a safe, comfortable and convenient place to stay in Harrogate town centre.   Increased cleaning and safety procedures have been put in place. No contact check-in/out option is available. Weekly Cleans or Kit Drop-off (linen, towel, toiletries) is optional. Meals from Cookfood.net and breakfast from Weetons are optional and can be pre-ordered.  A lot of extra care is being taken to keep our guests safe during their stay, by putting in place more cleanliness protocols to ensure high touch points are cleaned regularly, the apartments and communal spaces are deep cleaned thoroughly, offering a self check-in/out to limit contact with staff, and doing our best to remind all in the building about the importance of social distancing and hand washing regularly during their stay.   Like many businesses that are struggling to survive today, we too have by no means got to this point without losses. Like many of you, we too have made significant sacrifices financially, and within our families by spending a lot of time away from our loved ones, in order to continue to offer the excellent service we are proud to provide our Guests with.  On the 15th June 2020 the shops are due to open their doors to the public. Harrogate residents and local business owners know, that there are many independent boutique shops in Harrogate that desperately rely on the trade tourism brings to their business.   It is the same situation for many Harrogate hotels, bed and breakfasts, Guest Houses, Self-catering accommodation providers, restaurants, bars and pubs. Harrogate have A LOT of businesses that rely on the trade tourism brings, and these businesses will simply not survive without your help in recommending trips to Harrogate. Without your help, we risk changing the landscape of the Harrogate town we know and love, indefinitely!!  

Tourism is spending money and having an experience - If there's anything that this experience of isolation and lockdown during the Coronavirus pandemic has taught us, it is that we should be grateful for all we have.   Think about everything that Harrogate can offer the public who want an experience on their holiday. What don't we have??  There are so many gorgeous walks in and around Harrogate countryside and gardens to explore somewhere new.  There are quirky and individual styled shops amongst our more well known high street traders, making it possible to buy rare keepsakes to take home as memories, to buy gifts for him or her, or to simply chase the buzz retail therapy provides.  We have a theatre on our doorstep that has been entertaining for years and years with countless shows, pantomimes and comedies. The Royal Hall is a spectacle with more gold leaf used in decoration than in Buckingham Palace London.   The Turkish Baths is a sight to behold whilst relaxing and choosing which rejuvenating treatment to indulge in at the spa.  We are so lucky to be inspired and moved by pieces of art in the many art galleries along our streets, and to be able to dive into the rich history of our spa town that the Pump Room Museum provides. We can spend so long just trying to decide where to dine out in Harrogate, because we are spoiled for choice on countless types of cuisine on offer, in the many restaurants and cafes that tantalize our taste buds in the town. It's not all about the Fat Rascal or Afternoon Tea at Bettys, but experiencing these are certainly things to add to your bucket list. There are so many pubs and bars that we take for granted on our streets, where we go to celebrate time with friends, family or event to spark up some romance with a few drinks and a smile.  We think it's fair to say, that the customers for these businesses are in large part mostly visitors of Harrogate, rather than residents. Of course Harrogate residents are using these fantastic services that are on our doorstep too, but it's perhaps not as often that these businesses are serving residents, in comparison to the steady flow of every changing tourists they serve.  So we want to say to all the local businesses in Harrogate that make it such a splendid place for our guests to visit, THANK YOU.
