You can start with a Free Walking Tour guided by our famous local guide Harry. It is a lovely opportunity to get to know this charming town and to discover some of its historical secrets. The meeting point is just 5 minutes walking from Harrogate Lifestyle Apartments. 

If you are into beautiful gardens, you must visit Harlow Carr. It is a refreshing walk through amazing plants and flowers that will brighten your day even more! You can walk there (approximately 35 minutes) and enjoy the pure air of nature or you can go by car/public transport. 

And why not go to Valley Gardens? It is a public park just in the heart of Harrogate (8 minutes walking from our location) that offers children's playground, a skate park, a cosy cafe and, of course, a pleasant green and flowery atmosphere. 

Afternoon tea is one the most traditional attractions in Harrogate and you cannot miss it! There is such a huge range of incredible cafes in town to choose from, so we short listed them for you. 

Our first recommendation is Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms which is a family business established in Harrogate in 1919. Its unique decoration and service make customers feel like royalty! There, you can find a variety of specialty teas combined with delicious handmade cakes, freshly baked scones, and exquisite sandwiches. 

Another great option in town is Mama Doreen's Emporium. They offer a good diversity of scrumptious savoury delights such as a mini Yorkshire pudding with roast beef, sweet treats, and a range of fizzy and hot drinks to make your experience complete. 

Last but not least, you can appreciate an afternoon tea in The Harrogate Tea Rooms. It is also a family business well known in town for its selection of fine teas, fresh homemade scones, traditional sandwiches, and mouth-watering cakes.  

The good news is that if you do not feel like going out on Mother's Day, you can get a delightful afternoon tea delivered to your door or get a take away to enjoy as a nice family time in one of our apartments! It sounds really good, doesn't it? 

A whole Mother's Day must have a remarkable meal and we are sure you can find it in Harrogate! Since Sunday 27th of March is a special day, you can find great deals and treats in different bars and restaurants across town.
